Prepare For Your Visit

We’ve put together this short checklist of things to bring and suggestions to make sure you come prepared and have a great time with us at OWL.

Required Gear:

Water shoes or running shoes or sandals with back straps: something that stays securely on your feet. You cannot wear flip flops or Crocs or have bare feet while rafting!

Recommended Gear For Rafting

Bring For Rafting:

  • Bathing suit & swim shorts
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses and chums (sunglass cords)
  • Rashguard or t-shirt if desired for sun protection
  • Towel and dry change of clothing for afterwards

Extra considerations for rafting in May/June:

  • Wool socks & wool hat
  • Light wool or synthetic sweater
  • Paddling jacket (or light windbreaker)
  • Synthetic/wool tights or shorts

We strongly suggest that you not wear any cotton clothing on the river. Cotton is cold! When cotton gets wet it keeps you cold. Even on a hot day it is not advised.
