Whitewater Nation Riverfest

Saturday July 1st – Monday July 3rd 2017

Celebrate Canada’s 150th with us on the Ottawa River! This 3-day weekend includes two days of fun-filled rafting and 1-day of developing your own paddling skills in Kayak, Canoe or SUP.  Also included in the festivities are fireworks, live music, and a film festival – come join us this summer!

How the weekend flows:

Arrive Friday night and set up your tent. You can join in the fireside camaraderie in our riverside pavilion as you gear up for the weekend adventures.

Saturday morning, you will embark on a true Canadian experience, paddling the Ottawa Rivers big waves, steered by our expert river guides. Saturday night you will be entertained by live music in the main pavilion before enjoying Canada Day fireworks.

Sunday you raft again, except this time you will use your new skills to challenge the other rafts in the Ultimate Raft Race – costumes are encouraged! With your team of rafters you will paddle around obstacles, pick up tokens along the way for extra points, and face-off in a final sprint to the finish line for first place. Sunday evening, prizes will be awarded before we kick-off the film festival with local brewery, Whitewater Brewery. Live music will follow to cap off an incredible day!

Monday you will participate in a choice of Kayak, Canoe or SUP clinics, with experts teaching you the finer points of paddling your own craft. You will come away from your weekend with a healthy dose of adventure and also new-found paddling skills. Add to this OWL’s hospitality, and healthy, hearty meals, and you have the perfect active vacation!
