Trip Overview
This 3 Day Adventure Whitewater Rafting and Resort Package includes an exhilarating whitewater rafting trip, and a day spent at the OWL waterfront resort playing and relaxing.
Whitewater Rafting Day
Paddle, splash, and roll down more challenging routes of the Ottawa River for a full day excursion. Your experienced and passionate guide controls the raft using oars at the back, while you are paddling with your crew. You’ll get a chance to body surf and float, and possibly do some cliff jumping too – it’s up to the river!
*All participants are required to paddle.
As the currents calm down, we transfer to the comfort of our signature Pontoon Boat where your dry clothes and a feast of freshly prepared grilled buffet awaits. Relax and reenergize while you cruise back to the OWL Resort via the historical route of the First Nations viewing the rugged beauty of the Canadian Shield. Once back at the resort your guides will show a video presentation where you can relive your day’s adventure!
Resort Day
Play a round of frisbee golf, a game of beach volleyball, or relax on the beach. We also boast a large floating swim dock right off shore, and a life size maze. Ice cream, snacks, cold drinks and ice are available for sale on site.

Camping
In our three large camping areas you will find picnic tables and garbage & recycling bins. Sites cannot be reserved in advance – selection is first come, first serve. Our field-style sites offer both water views and tree-shaded lawns. Our smaller tent camping area allows you to park near your camping spot.
Trailers & RVs are welcome at no extra cost. We also have serviced RV sites with power and water hook-ups. More info below.
Fires are not permitted in the camp grounds, there are two fire pits lit every evening for you to enjoy. Portable cook stoves or BBQs are allowed at your campsite.
Please note that camping equipment isn’t included in this package unless booked separately.

Glamping
Offering all the benefits of sleeping under the stars without having to rough it too much. Enjoy the intimacy of your own canvas tents, set up on wooden platform, each with two individual beds that have cozy duvets – slide them together to make a King. A short roll by cart transports your personal gear to the private spot overlooking the water = glamourous camping.

Cabins
Our cabins sleep 4 – 6 people in two double beds and two single top bunks. All cabins have electrical outlets. Please remember to bring your own bedding and pillows.
Washrooms are in a separate building, with private outdoor showers heated with solar!

Cabañas
Enjoy our waterfront suite with great views of the sunset and sunrise. Bedding is included as well as a basic en suite with a composting toilet and water basin. You are welcome to use our main washhouse facilities, which include sauna, private outdoor showers, and hot water sinks.

RV Sites
Bring your own RV! Our RV sites include electrical and water hook-ups. These sites are centrally located close to all OWL Resort amenities. Step out of the comfort of your home on wheels and gear up for your day of rafting on the Ottawa River!

An awesome time had by all! A wonderful time provided by a charismatic and knowledgeable guide! Angus led our anxious little group through this adventure with confidence and ease. He helped calm our worries with clear instructions which were repeated and easy to understand. Angus added interesting facts and humour throughout the rafting trip and always had a solid answer for our questions. This trip is accessible for any level of rafter. Let the Scottush guide wear his kilt!!! Great family fun doing medium intensity rafting at Owl! Well organized. Wonderful staff and facilities. Worth renting the cabin. Cool air fed compostable toilets in clean washrooms nearby. Food was just OK this year.Our guide was an awesome, skilled, informative and fun, Scottish guy, Pete. Should have worn Kilt with OWL logo on it for added fun!!!!
Amazing Wilderness Glamping with Thrilling Rapids and Delicious Food! The entire trip was amazing. I went with my husband and another couple and we stayed in the glamping tents which were cute and cozy. My husband and I love wilderness resorts and this resort did not disappoint, it's a giant (fun) summer camp for kids and adults! The views from the glamping tent were beautiful, especially at sunrise, love the beach area, and the different activities to do all around. The food was delicious and tastes like a homemade meal. We choose the medium and high intensity for our rafting trip and the rapids were fast and exciting and the guides were super helpful, professional, safe, and friendly (SHOUTOUT TO SAM AND ABI). It's incredible how strong and swift the rapids were and when you're surfing them. Whitewater rafting is lots of fun and OWL definitely did a great job with safety management while still having fun. It's a 10/10. Loved it and would come back here again.
